Solar Field Structural Welding Underway in Solway

Phase 1 is wrapped up on a large-scale solar field project out in Solway, and we're closing in on the finish line. This is exactly the kind of work that keeps us moving - out in the field, day after day, doing the structural welds that hold a whole energy installation together.

Solar field builds like this one aren't simple. You've got rows and rows of steel structural posts driven into the ground, all needing precise, consistent welds to carry the weight and wind loads of the panel arrays above them. There's no cutting corners on something like this. Every weld has to be solid, because these structures are built to last decades.

That's where mobile welding makes all the difference. We bring everything we need directly to the job site - welders, equipment, rods, the works. No hauling material back to a shop. No waiting around. We set up right there in the dirt and get to work. It keeps the project timeline tight and the general contractor happy.

The crew has been putting in full days out here. Low to the ground, tight spaces, running beads on galvanized structural steel under open sky. It's not glamorous work, but it's the kind of work that matters. When those panels go up, they're sitting on welds we put down.
