Finn n Feather Resort on Lake Andrusia needed metalwork that could hold up in a high-traffic lodge setting without looking out of place. That's a trickier ask than it sounds. The space is all knotty pine, log posts, and warm wood tones - so anything we fabricated had to fit that aesthetic while still being built tough enough for a commercial property.
We came in with three scopes of work. First, a custom horizontal bar railing system running along the loft and staircase. The horizontal lines in the railing play off the shiplap walls perfectly, and the black steel gives the whole space a clean, modern-rustic contrast that just works. A laser-cut pine tree medallion mounted in the railing panel adds a sharp custom detail that ties back to the resort's branding.
Next up were the countertop brackets. We fabricated a set of heavy-duty welded steel brackets to support a granite bar-height countertop along the dining wall. Clean radius cuts on the bracket arms, all finished in matte black to match the railing. Simple, solid, and built to handle daily use without flexing or shifting.
The bench seating area wraps the whole project together. We built a welded steel frame for an L-shaped bench - paneled with pine to match the walls - then topped it with padded cushions. The result is built-in seating that feels intentional, not like an afterthought. It fits the room, it's sturdy enough for a lodge full of guests, and it looks sharp doing it.
This is the kind of work we genuinely enjoy. When a client has a space with real character and they want the metal elements to match that energy, we can design and fabricate everything in-house to get it right. No off-the-shelf hardware, no compromises on fit or finish.
